01 — Challenge
The challenge
Several separate applications were to become a single entry point: redesign and consolidation in one move. That put the workflows up for discussion again — what belongs together, what stays apart, where does someone move from data entry into review? On top of that, the density: this is where the data is captured and checked on which a credit rating later rests — master data, relationships, debt service capacity, ESG, default recording. Many individual entries in a tight space, several validation rules per entry, and behind it always the same question from the people working with it: what is still missing, and what has been flagged?
